Teacher Introduction

Dear Families, 

            My name is Mr. Sonntag, and I am very excited to join the 8^th grade team at Catasauqua Middle School! I teach both Science and Social Studies. I look forward to a year full of learning opportunities and excitement. 

            I was born and raised in Allentown. During my formative schooling, I attended schools in Salisbury Township School District. During my years in Salisbury, I earned my Eagle Scout, and I participated in a variety of sports, including basketball, baseball, football, and powerlifting. After graduating from Salisbury High School, I majored in Middle-Level Education at Millersville University. During the 2019-2020 school year, I taught 5^th grade in Hempfield School District in Lancaster County.

            In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, riding bikes, cooking, and watching sports. My favorite professional football team is the New York Giants. I enjoy watching other sports as well. During the Spring and Summer, I enjoy fishing and hunting with my father.
