About Me!

Welcome to my page!  My name is Ms. Sourwine, and I am one of the 5th teachers at CMS.  This is my fourth year teaching, and third year at Catty! 

My educational journey started as I obtained my PreK-4 and Special Education K-12 degrees from Shippensburg University.  I officially began my teaching career as a 9th-12th grade learning support teacher within the Carlisle Area School District.  I then found my home in Catasauqua, where I started as the 5th/6th grade learning support teacher.  Since teaching in Catty, I also obtained my 5th grade certification and I am currently working towards my Masters in Middle Level English Language Arts.  I am beyond excited to take on this new adventure as a 5th grade classroom teacher for the 2023-24 school year!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  My niece and nephew are my absolute pride and joy!  I also enjoy getting lost in a book, kayaking, and visiting the beach during the summer.

I am looking forward to learning and growing with all of you this school year! :)
