Discovery Education --> Discovery Education offers free student resources that bring learning to life both inside and outside the classroom.  This site is filled with interactive games, videos, contests, virtual labs and activities designed to help you dive deeper into a topic —and have fun too!

 

Free MATH help --> Help your child start the transition from basic math games to more advanced math concepts.  This website also has extensive selections of math lessons, which explain various advanced concepts in ways that are easy to understand for both parents and their children.  

 

KhanAcademy -->  Free online resource to help support and guide students via practice exercises & instructional videos.    

 

Science- How Stuff Works--> How Stuff Works can often bring in the practical side of learning. Explore different innovations, and how they’re being used today!

 

50 States Map Game --> Interactive game to get you familiar with our countries 50 states.  Can you name them all? 

 

Cliffsnotes -->  Free online tool to assist with homework, test prep, or studying.  

 

Quizizz --> Free online tool where you can search specific areas of content.  Challenge yourself on accuracy and speed when answering questions.  

 

Kahoot --> Create your own kahoot in minutes or choose from 30+ million read-to-play games, play live in class or share student-paced challenges, and dive into game reports to assess learning.

 

(7th Grade) Desmos --> Collection of engaging math activities and tools.  The activities in this collection are designed for Grade 7 students, and are especially useful in distance learning. settings.

Newsela --> Curated collections of news stories appropriate for student audiences, organized by topic area and grade level

 

PBS LearningMedia --> PBS LearningMedia is a Pre K- 12 FREE online library of trusted, quaility, curated resources from PBS and public media stations including KQED.  These digital resources include short videos, lessons and interactive games.  

 

Above the Noise --> The Above the Noise video series cuts through the hype and dives deep into the research behind the issues affecting middle and high school students’ daily lives.

 

ZOOM --> Zoom is a free video conferencing tool for live meetings.  I am open to offering help, check ins, or social time through ZOOM.  You may even want to use this resource for connecting with family and friends.   

 

Google Hangouts --> Hangouts is another free video conferencing tool for live meetings. You can easily link your school email acccount to this.  I am open to offering help, check ins, or social time through this outlet too.  This too would be a great resource for connecting with family and friends.
